No, there were 43 Corvette built that year... All destroyed but one, currently shown at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green.... Luckily it escaped the massacre...
What Pip-Bip showed is not a 1983 Corvette, it’s the prototype of the Corvette that was supposed to come out in 1983 but came out in 1984... Due to build quality problems, production was stopped after the 43 first cars and therefore a model year was skipped.
